Aurora Packing Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our first shift position (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) and our second shift position (3:30 PM - 1 AM).

We have been in business for nearly 80 years and as we are expanding we are looking for employees to grow with us.

The Maintenance Technician will perform predictive and preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.

Work Lift Experience and Certification - a definite plus!!!

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold and warm temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, sharp knives, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
  • A minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Steady work history
  • Must be mechanically inclined with a strong behavior-based safety attitude
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, when scheduled
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Industrial electrical skills a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.60 - $26.60 per hour

* Employee Referral UP TO $900 Bonus *
